Mr. Davis is an experienced civil litigation attorney. His practice includes general civil litigation, insurance matters, real estate, and business disputes. He is a member of the California Lawyers Association of Real Property Law and Taxation sections. He has represented taxpayers in administrative appeals with the FTB, BOE, and in litigation before the U.S. Tax Court and 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Davis previously worked for several well known civil litigation firms in the Bay Area. He also serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda.
Mr. Wattellier has extensive experience in complex litigation, construction defect, toxic torts, and insurance defense. He graduated from UCLA and UC Hastings College of the Law, and is fluent in French. He is licensed to practice in New York.
Stephen Heath has handled the defense and prosecution of a wide variety of litigation, including construction, commercial trucking and commercial carrier accidents, property and liability, fiduciary and bond claims, excess and umbrella, floor plan and garage keepers, oil and gas, professional liability, entertainment, and coverage analysis. Before starting his firm, he practiced at an Am Law 100 firm.
Before beginning the active practice of law, he worked over 16 years in the insurance industry as an adjuster/supervisor. He also was involved in rewriting the rules for special arbitration used in inter-company disputes. Mr. Heath also supervised mold remediation programs in public schools and courthouses throughout Texas. He continues to present numerous contractual indemnity liability lecture programs for continuing education to insurance companies, TPAs, contractors, and construction companies.
During his studies at the University of Oklahoma, Mr. Heath served as an intern at the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He is Oil Field Rig Certified through Texas A&M. This certification gives him special expertise in oil field production claims, including all aspects of storage, transport, pumping, and processing of crude oil. He is a two-time Travis Award Winner for his accomplishments in creating community support and participation in the United Way programs. He is an avid sportsman and guitar collector and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters at his home in San Francisco.
Matthew Kracht is an experienced litigator and trial attorney who provides responsive representation premised upon strategic and thorough analysis, common sense, and hard work. His practice area includes complex and catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases involving products liability, workplace injuries, dangerous conditions of property and vehicle negligence, fraud claims, landlord/tenant disputes, and public entity defense. His trial experience includes handling complex cases that involve life-altering injuries and death. Mr. Kracht has been selected by his peers to the Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star list in 2016 & 2017 – a recognition given to no more than 2.5% of California lawyers.
Prior to joining Heath & Yuen, APC, Mr. Kracht previously worked for preeminent civil litigation defense firms in San Francisco and Oakland. He has also interned at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office. His past experience in representing both defendants and plaintiffs has equipped him with a unique perspective in representing his clients. Mr. Kracht resides in the East Bay and is a devoted husband and father of three.
Mr. Wong is originally from the Bay Area, but hails from Los Angeles. He graduated from U.C. Hastings College of the Law, with a focus on civil litigation. His practice areas include construction defect litigation, and personal injury for both the prosecution and defense.
Mr. Phillips began his legal career as an intern for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington D.C., and for the San Francisco District Attorney. He is an experienced civil and criminal litigation attorney. He has represented clients in California criminal court, family court, and has counseled hundreds of clients in litigation before federal immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals. His practice includes general civil litigation, criminal litigation, immigration matters, and business disputes. He is a member of the California Lawyers Association Litigation section, and the Alameda County Bar Association. Mr. Phillips previously worked for several well-known San Francisco Bay Area criminal and civil litigation firms.
The focus of Steven Yuen's practice encompasses business disputes/torts, catastrophic personal injury, construction defect, employment, landlord/tenant, premises liability, product defect, professional liability cases, and transportation—as well as complex, mass torts, and class-action lawsuits—as he typically represents commercial, construction, insurance, and professional clients.
Mr. Yuen's case history include numerous successful trial and appellate results. Case results favorable to his clients include: a jury verdict after an hour's deliberation; multiple summary judgment motions granted; a dismissal order during the initial pleading stage; and nonsuits following opening statements. He clerked for an international intellectual property firm while in law school, and continues to represent clients on copyright and trademark litigation.
Mr. Beemer, originally from South Dakota, obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington. He then worked as an industrial designer and custom architectural fabricator before attending the U.C. Hastings School of Law where he obtained his J.D. while concentrating in Intellectual Property and participating in the Start-Up Legal Garage clinic. He has wide experience in construction defect, criminal, immigration, intellectual property, personal injury, and utility law.
Mr. Dang was formerly in-house counsel for a number of Silicon Valley start-ups and companies, such as IBM and CA Technologies. He previously practiced as a corporate attorney with extensive experience in corporate and regulatory compliance, software and content/data licensing, brand and product marketing, intellectual property, and commercial transactions. His background also includes data privacy and security, mergers and acquisitions, and product and business development. Mr. Dang is licensed to practice in New York.
Lucy Galek is a civil litigation attorney with experience at well-known local and national law firms. Ms. Galek earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Brandeis University.
